Orr Felt traces its history to 1848, when Young and Yeager Textiles in Piqua, Ohio, produced quality woolen fabrics. The company introduced papermaking felts when the Orr family took over the company at the turn of the century, and grew into its present form in 1964, when the company came under the direction of owner and president, Dimitri P. Nicholas. Today, the company is solely owned and operated by Dimitri M. Nicholas. Orr Felt's 300,000 square foot Piqua facility houses its administration, sales, manufacturing and warehousing functions.
